CURATOR’S NOTE

“We are a way for the cosmos to know itself” – Carl Sagan.

The cosmos took billions of years to evolve. In the series of events, it went through, on one of the innumerable specks of planets, among billions of life forms, a particular species evolved: Homo sapiens, us.

In the immensity of the cosmos, we are so insignificant. Yet, we have evolved to move the world around us. We’ve built global societies, created and enjoyed art, developed science to understand the fundamentals of the universe and begun exploring the frontier of space. We have accomplished so many feats that other species cannot even comprehend, let alone attempt to.

Global Science Festival Kerala is an attempt to blend science’s ability to unveil the secrets of nature with art to create a memorable and poignant celebration of science. Envisioned as a revolution in science communication, it is a curated experience that immerses the attendee in a story that begins with the universe’s origin and ends with what we have become.
